My daughter and I did a first this afternoon. We made cookies. She started off so good. I got a new mixer and she added the ingredients very carefully. Then, she started to get exctited and dumped a whole jar of nutmeg in. Then a little extra flour. I never thought I wouldn't enjoy a sugar cookie! She had so much fun though and was very proud. I let her decorate them and she used a whole jar of colored sugar. Thankfully, most of it ended up on the floor and not in her mouth. She loved every minute and thought her cookies tasted good. I smiled and nodded.

Halloween!
Addison had a grand time this year. She was a fairy, although when she saw the wings she decided she was a butterfly. Whatever. We went out trick or treating and she said and was so cute. Mostly she was out to socialize, following other families and talking to everyone. She got candy though and spawled it out on the front porch when we got home. Then she got very excited when she realized there were M&Ms. The last picture is this morning when she got up, promptly put on her costume and wanted to go "twick and tweating." She wanted more treats! She is my daughter!

Addison goes to school
So, it's really just a part day toddler program, but we call it school. She got a little upset when I left and then was quickly distracted. They said she didn't cry at all and even ate apple slices! For those unaware, Addison will only eat freeze-dried fruit for me. When i picked her up she ran to me crying like she thought I was never coming back. She had fun though and I don't think she is going to have any problems. I added a few pics of her going in carrying her own bag. She ran off to play immediately then got upset I was leaving. Like i said though, she got over it fast. She was so cute!

Addison's 2nd Birthday!
I know I didn't get going on this blog thing like I thought I would. Sorry. Addison had her 2nd birthday yesterday though and I have already gotten a nasty gram from Aunt Erin that I didn't post pictures. No excuse, except I was tired. I know, what else is new. She started her day off by getting a new tricycle. She loved the little bell and although she can't quite reach the peddles she loves riding it. She had two little friends over and they had a grand time. We even stuffed teddy bears and painted little t-shirts for them. It wasn't as messy as I thought it would be, but cute. The theme was Little Bear. I made a teddy bear cake which she loved to look at, but didn't eat much of. She ate the ice cream which is her favorite thing in the world right now. She also got some great gifts. Her favorite so far were the Click the camera and neighing pony. We did put batteries in the Dora flashlight this morning and I think she has fallen asleep with it right now. If you don't know these characters consider yourself blessed. HE he. Here are pictures which is what everyone wants to see anyway. I can't believe she's 2!

The Piano
Addison also loves music. She dances all the time to music in her head, on the radio, TV, whatever. She also pretends to play the piano on everything. She gets to play a real one at Nana's house and we have a hard time keeping her away from it. She loves playing it though and will run to it first thing in the morning. Those of us who might still be sleeping appreciate it.
Water!
Addison loves the water. She plays in the sprinkler in the backyard, she loves bath time, everything to do with water. We went to my parents for a couple of days this past week and went to Dollywood. I didn't know it but they have this little water area for kids there. Addison loved it so much she was ugly the rest of the time there because we made her leave and do other things. Excuse us for wanting to get lunch! She is such a mess and sits down now whenever she doesn't get her way. She just goes limp and sits down. This is happening a good deal lately as she usually wants to do something she is not suppose to be doing. I knew everyone said toddlers were stubborn, but Addison is just defiant. She does the opposite of whatever I tell her just because I told her. My mother has been laughing her head off and thinks payback is great. I guess she's right, but I wasn't bad until I was a teenager. I was a sweet, maybe spoiled, little girl. HE HE. Anyway, the first picture is at Dollywood and the second is in our backyard.

Hello everyone! Several people have asked to see a picture of Addison up close. This is the latest one I have. She still looks a lot like me, however as she is getting older she looks more like her Daddy. She especially looks like him when she is mad at me or being stubborn. Those of you who really know Trent are probably shocked to learn his daughter is stubborn, but she is. HE HE. Now that he has been home for a while she is slowly becoming a Daddy's girl again. She is figuring out the she hugs him and gives him kisses he is puddy in her hands. She is very smart and will probably start trying to pit him against soon. Anyway, hope you can this picture better.

Sprinkler
Addison got to play in the sprinkler for the first time last night. She loved it! Of course she wanted to take it apart as she does everything, but couldn't figure out how to get close enough to it without getting water in her face. She did however sit on and thought it was funny. The grass didn't end up getting a whole lot of water. Oh well. She had fun. The best part was she slept great!
I'm on the web
So I think I will try to enter this new age and blog. I haven't done this before so I'm just trying it out. I'm sure this will mostly turn into writing about Addison. Anyway, we'll see. I'm so technologically behind.
